Description Fluorescent high bay lighting is all the buzz today, and for good reason. Highly customizable functionality make fluorescent high bays versatile, and T8 and T5 fluorescent technology makes them ultra efficient. The typical fluorescent high bay has 4 or 6 lamps, specular aluminum recflectors and two or more electronic ballasts. They are designed to be used indoors, hung 10ft high or above and can be used in new construction or for replacing existing lighting. They can be stem mounted or hung from chain or rigid hook, making it possible to put them almost anywhere. Powered by high light output electronic ballasts that can increase the light output of standard lamps by 20% or more, fluorescent high bay fixtures produce light levels that rival HID fixtures. We have several different models form several manufactures available. Depending on you individual application, we can suggest a fixture that is best suited to your needs. When considering new lighting, chioces are key, there is no such thing as one fixture fits all. Controls Fluorescent high bay fixtures can be wired with a a variety of controls to allow a different amount of lamps to be on depending on demand for light. Controls can turn some or all of the lamps on and off based on occupancy, time of day, ambient light sources, or a combination of these. Fluorescent's instant on, instant off charicteristics make it better suited to occupancy controls than HID. HID is limited to either Hi or Low settings, or longer on and off times than fluorescent. |
